Every Mass is divided into two parts: the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. At every Mass the readings are proclaimed to us - not just read. Proclaiming God’s word is more than reading. It involves understanding what the reading means, and translating that understanding. If you feel that you might be willing to put in the necessary preparation and participate in the Liturgy in a fuller way, then please consider becoming a Lector.
Scheduling is done in advance, and a Lector may be scheduled approximately once every three weeks. Before preparing a schedule, we offer our Lectors an opportunity to inform us of scheduling conflicts, which are taken into consideration.
If you would like to register to become a Lector, please fill out the form below and someone will be in contact with you shortly.
If you would like a copy of the most recent Ministry Schedule, please email [email protected], and enter the password. If you do not have it, Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers (only) may contact the Rectory to request it.
