The day truly could not have been more beautiful for the 2017 Annual Communion Brunch. As always, the grace of the women of the Society shined through the whole morning, from the Mass to the Brunch. A full and delicious meal was served at gorgeous Knollwood Country Club, where an almost 360 degree view of the golf course acted as the backdrop through the gleaming dining room windows. It was difficult to know where to concentrate one's attention - the bright blue skies, the green of the fairways, the luscious smell of the banquet, the beautifully appointed room, the presentation by Cabrini Healthcare, or the amazing shopping courtesy of Trades of Hope.
The fabulous buffet included pastries, made-to-order omelettes, a ham carving station, french toast, potatoes, potato pancakes, vegetables and a full variety of bread. The bar was open for those wishing to enjoy mimosas or bloody marys.
Naturally, the stars of the show were the members of the A & R Society themselves, who made everyone feel right at home. Fr. Roy thanked everyone for their hard work, and complimented and thanked the women on behalf of Fr. Ashman for everything they do for the Parish, most recently robes for the newest members of the choir. Thank you to Lynn Gambardella, Betsy Smith, Kathy Vetrano, Mary Vecchione and Laura Antonietti for all their hard work pulling it together. Thank you also to Kathy Bencivenga for scheduling the event at Knollwood Country Club.
Congratulations to the ladies for a job spectacularly done! To see photos of the event visit our Parish albums or
